The Department of Premier and Cabinet office is buzzing with new people and energy this week. Giselle Sperber and the Fellowship Support Group have begun their work to progress the state government's web presence.

During the next six weeks, the Department of Premier & Cabinet will be partnering with Giselle, a group of experts on user experience, community and industry to develop a customer-centric approach to the Department's digital presence. The work plan includes doing a user-experience workshop with the community as well as fortnightly meetings with user experience experts from Nicta, Studio Thick and Huddle.

Previously this year, Code for Australia ran a workshop on how could government, community and industry could work together for Knowledge Week in Melbourne. We see this six-week project as a great example of how we're supporting to move government towards a platform that allows citizens, industry and civic servants to come together and work on issues that affect us all.

We're very excited to be part of this project and will be having regular updates on the blog of the work we do, including the dates for the user experience workshop.
