Pause Fest

What if a government website could be designed for its users, and by its users?

Join public servants and community members to write content for a government’s new beta website.

From the ground up, this new website will be designed to be people-centric, rather than government-centric. Existing government websites have a wealth of great information, but people find it difficult to navigate and challenging to find the specific information they’re looking for. Inspired by the DTO, we want an existing Victorian government website to be fundamentally focused on what citizens want to know.

To this end, Code for Australia are running a new type of event, a “civic write-a-thon.” Join residents and city employees to collaborate in researching and writing what a government's website should answer.
